Rodney Hogg Sportsmans Night Fairbairn Park - October 2007 It was a typically cold October evening at fairbairn park and we were joined there by former Australian Test Cricketer, Rodney Malcolm Hogg. Hoggie did it all - lent a hand at training, cooked the BBQ & then entertained us all with plenty of cricketing stories from past and present.  
 
 
 
ASJCC Poker Night Fairbairn Park - Janaury 2008 It was 3 years in the making... but the wait was well worth it. Joe Hachem and Shane Warne did me a huge favor and came along to our poker nite. The looks on some of the faces were priceless. Also in the star studded line up were poker notables Emad, Arul and Rosa. I'd like to see a tougher cricket club tournament line up than this!
Nineteen players put up $30 each in the last man standing format. We had 5 bounties in the tournament. Whoever knocked out Joe, Shane, Emad, Arul or Rosa would receive a $15 instant bonus. In the end, Barnsey knocked out Ducky very early, York busted Emad not long after, and Deano picked up the prize scalp of Shane on the final table. Joe knocked out Rosa in 4th and then it only took 1 hand of heads up action where he felted Mel with his AJ offsuit vs Mel's A9 of clubs. I also must mention Jugga who finished a very respectable 3rd and doubled up on his $30 investment.
The true gentleman that Joe is... he announced that the 1st prize of $250 would be donated to the end of season cricket trip... on ya mate!
Both Joe and Shane stuck around a little while longer after the tourney to share in some happy snaps and sign some autographs. In all they graced us for about 3 hours (which went far too quickly).
The troops were rounded up again shortly after the stars departed for a small cash game. A great night was had by all, which finally wound up at about 4am. No thanks to Tays beast which most certainly pissed some neighbours off in the wee hrs of the morning :)
A big thankyou must go out to Stiva, Barnsey and Mick Wills for arranging the supplies, Goldberg for running the canteen, Lauren for providing us with some great pictures, Emad for providing us the championship poker table and playing in our club tourney, Tay and Billy for lending us their playing chips and everybody who attended and was present. Last but by no means least, Joe Hachem and Shane Warne for turning up for a mate.

ASJCC Presentation Night - May 2008 Perle Function Centre - Moonee Ponds Wonderful night where the red carpet was rolled out, the paparazzi was waiting anxiously & the trophies were a plenty. Congratulations to all winners - (For a full list of winners, please click on the Hall of Fame page).
